CCTV security systems were mainly used in high-security areas such as hotels, casinos, pawnshops, jewelry stores, different corporate and more. Rarely were cameras installed in homes or small businesses, unless the owner was willing to pay a hefty price to have one installed. Nowadays, almost anywhere you turn, you will see a security camera. Many times those security cameras are what they call "dummy cameras", but other times they are the real deal. Dummy cameras are just that. They are meant to fool perpetrators into believing the camera is real. Most of the time these cameras are put in place to deter criminal activity.
